Three Gold Medals for Cristyan Jiu-Jitsu & Fitness at the 2026 IBJJF Pan No-Gi Championship
October 6, 2026 · Cristyan BJJ Academy, Hyannis MA
Cristyan Jiu-Jitsu & Fitness brought Cape Cod pride to the 2026 IBJJF Pan No-Gi Championship, returning to Hyannis, Massachusetts, with three gold medals and a performance worth celebrating.
Held October 2–4 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, the championship provided the stage for our three competitors—Eduardo Pereira, Kosme Lima, and Edilton Arruda Votoria—to represent our academy with dedication and determination.
Eduardo earned double gold, Kosme captured a division title, and Edilton reached the quarterfinals. Together, their results gave our students, families, and supporters plenty to be proud of.
Eduardo Pereira: Two Titles, One Outstanding Achievement
Eduardo Pereira delivered a standout result, winning gold in both the purple belt heavyweight division and the open class.
Winning a weight division is an achievement in itself. Adding an open-class title makes the moment even more special. Eduardo’s two gold medals reflect the commitment he brings to his training and mark a proud chapter in his competitive journey.
For everyone who shares the mats with him in Hyannis, seeing Eduardo on top of the podium was a powerful reminder that consistent effort can lead to extraordinary results.
Kosme Lima: Lightweight Gold
Kosme Lima added another championship title to our academy’s weekend, taking gold in the lightweight division.
His result brought our team’s total to three gold medals. It was a proud moment for Kosme and for the training partners and supporters who helped him prepare.
Edilton Arruda Votoria: A Quarterfinal Finish
Edilton Arruda Votoria represented Cristyan Jiu-Jitsu & Fitness with determination, reaching the quarterfinals before his tournament run ended.
We are proud of Edilton’s effort and willingness to test himself on this stage. Competition offers opportunities to learn, grow, and return to training with fresh motivation. His contribution to our team deserves recognition alongside our medal-winning performances.
A Team Achievement That Starts at Home
These results belong to a community as well as to the athletes. Preparation happens through rounds with training partners, guidance from coaches, support from families, and encouragement from friends and fellow students.
Thank you to everyone who helped our competitors get ready, traveled to support them, cheered from home, or contributed to their progress on the mats. Your support helped make this weekend possible.
Three competitors. Three gold medals. One proud academy.
